Kristen Hertzenberg and Philip Fortenberry perform music from their Christmas album, recorded in 2011. “Holidays from the Heart” is a delightful concert with a variety of Christmas songs encompassing pop, Broadway, jazz, gospel, and folk styles. The performance centers around a theme of giving and the idea that the spirit of Christmas is especially powerful when we embrace it year-round. The artists each brought unique song ideas to the table and in the end produced a musical journey including Harry Connick Jr.’s “I Pray On Christmas,” Melissa Manchester’s “There’s Still My Joy,” “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas,” “O Holy Night,” and “Christmas Time is Here” from the beloved "A Charlie Brown Christmas."

Reynolds Hall @ The Smith Center for the Performing Arts in Las Vegas, NV.

These performances will feature nostalgic holiday favorites from Deck the Halls to Hanukkah Suite,
Ave Maria to selections from The Nutcracker Suite, and a special reading of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas by Hertzenberg and Cloer. As part of the 20th anniversary season celebration, former Associate Conductor Richard (Dick) McGee returns to guest conduct and will host a pre-concert conversation in Reynolds Hall one hour prior to the performances (1:00 PM & 6:30 PM) for patrons interested in learning more about the music and guest artists.

The concerts will celebrate the most wonderful time of the year and delight audiences of all ages with nostalgic holiday melodies that have endured for decades and are synonymous with the festive season. The program will end with the orchestra's traditional audience sing-a-long.

Patrons are encouraged to arrive early to enjoy free photos with Santa, activities for kids of all ages, specialty holiday treats including a hot chocolate bar and pre-concert entertainment by Sin City Opera.
Single tickets include five price levels in Reynolds Hall:

PT Box = $109, A Seating = $105, B Seating = $70, C Seating = $50 and D Seating = $30
Tickets can be purchased online through lvphil.org or The Smith Center Box Office at 702.749.2000.
